Chandigarh, 08 April: The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, PGI, Chandigarh is organizing a 2-day “Workshop cum CME” under the aegis of FOGSI to mark the Annual Meet of the Obstetrics and Gynecological Society of Northern India on 8th and 9th April, 2023. This conference is being organized under the guidance of Dr. Vanita Suri, Head of the department. Dr. S. C. Saha, President of the Obstetrics and Gynecological Society of Northern India and is the organizing Chairperson for the event while Dr. Minakshi Rohilla is the Organizing Secretary. The workshop on 8th April “Early Obstetric Warning Signs: Assess and Act” was focused on the most important aspect of obstetrics: Saving maternal lives. Critical Care specialists of National eminence like Dr. Anju Grewal (Head, Dept of Anesthesia, AIIMS, Bathinda) in collaboration with senior faculty from the Department of Anesthesia and Department of Obstetrics PGI joined hands for smooth conduct of this workshop. The CME on 9th April will focus on updates in fetal medicine and Gynecological oncology. Pioneer in the field of fetal medicine, Dr. Suresh Seshadri (Director, Mediscan Systems, Chennai) will demonstrate procedures to treat specific complications of multiple pregnancies while Dr. JB Sharma from AIIMS, Delhi will talk on prevention of preterm births. The conference will provide opportunity to many budding obstetricians to present their research work on a prestigious forum. Overall, the city beautiful is looking forward to an academic extravaganza.
