Chandigarh, June 30: PGIMER’s Department of Endocrinilogy won many accolades recently as Prof.Pinaki Dutta from the department has recently been awarded by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).
In another remarkable feat, Prof. Dutta was recognized for his achievements in the recently held conference of the Endocrine Society US,ENDO 2022 was held at Atlanta, Georgia, USA from June 11 to 14, 2022. Prof. Pinaki Dutta was invited to deliver a lecture in the pituitary symposium of the conference entitled "Pituitary Dysfunction: Beyond Pituitary Tumours". Prof. Dutta delivered a lecture on his seminal work on the cause, mechanisms, managements of various non-tumoural causes of hypopituitarism.
Prof. Dutta’s one more study on the various facets of metabolic comorbidities and consequences of Sheehan's syndrome was presented virtually by Dr L Das who is his ex-student.
Other than these two a thesis work on the generation of normative data of insulin like growth factor 1 in healthy children and adolescents, monumental work done by Dr KV Ravi Teja under able guidance of Dr Dutta during the lockdown and restrictions won outstanding abstract work award.
Dr Rimesh Pal, Assistant professor from the Department of Endocrinology was awarded the C. Wayne Bardin, MD, International travel award in the same forum.
